The First Franchise Story

Hero Certified Burger Store owner, Peter McLennan was looking to open a Lettieri Café but while scouting locations in the Beaches with company founder John Lettieri, Peter decided that Hero Certified Burger might be more his style of franchise. Soon after, the Hazelton Lanes location became available and Peter jumped on board. He says of the corporate setting:

"It is very different from other franchises which can be very rigid and corporate. We have a very casual relationship with John which creates a more relaxed and efficient business atmosphere."

When asked what attracted him to the Hero concept in the first place Peter says, "…the quality of the burgers obviously." But there was something else. "One of the reasons I was attracted to Lettieri and Hero is the aesthetics. It's more of an urban, hip, design and concept."
